Expired Password or Locked Account

  1. Go to http://eaglepass.coppin.edu/
  2. Enter your UserName
  3. Verify your identity: answer your secret questions

If your password has already expired, you will not be able to reset your password using the password changer. Please send an email to itssc@coppin.edu for assistance.

Set Up or Reset Your Password

The passwords for accessing your Network, E-mail, EagleLinks, AND Blackboard are synchronized. This means that after you reset your password through the Identity Self Service Kiosk, the system will automatically update your Email, EagleLinks and Blackboard password to match your “NEW Network Password.” You do not have to reset your EagleLinks and Blackboard passwords separately.

STEP 1: Go to Coppin State University Self-Service

  1. Go to http://eaglepass.coppin.edu

  2. On the Identity Self-Service Kiosk Screen, enter your Identity User Name (Example: JDoe00), then click Submit

  3. Answer the three questions, and click Submit:

    1. Zip Code – Enter the zip code on file in EagleLinks. International residents, if your zip code is not 5-digits, enter the CSU zip code 21216.

    2. EagleLinks ID – this is the 7-digit number located on your Coppin ID or other forms/letters.

    3. Birth Date – Type the correct format including the slash and “0” before single digits. (Ex: 01/03/1919).

NOTE: If you are unable to answer all questions after 4 attempts, your account will be locked. Please contact the IT Helpdesk at (410) 951-3872 (Science Technology Center room 122) for assistance with locked accounts.

STEP 2: Configure your two secret questions

New students:

After you answer these 3 questions, the system will allow you to create your own two (2) personal secret questions.

  1. Click ok, and create your own two (2) personal secret questions.

  2. You must type two (2) different secret/security questions, type the answers, and then confirm answers.

  3. Remember that the answers are case sensitive. Please remember how you are answering the questions. You will be required to answer these two questions in the exact format when your password expires.

Current students:

These are the questions you created when first setting up your password. Answers are case sensitive based on how you answered them upon creating the account.

STEP 3: Create your new password

Type a password and confirm the password.

The password will be used to access your CSU Accounts: EagleLINKS, Blackboard, Email, and CSU campus computers.

NOTE: Please do not use your FIRST or LAST Name.

  1. Click on the circle next to the “Reset Password” option.
  2. Type your New Password, retype the New Password again, then click Submit.

Your password must meet the following requirements:

  • 12 - 32 characters in length
  • One or more UPPER case letters
  • One or more lower case letters
  • One or more numbers

Note: Passwords EXPIRE every 180 days. Passwords automatically expire every 180 days from the day of setup or reset. However, a notification will be sent to your CSU email every day for 14 days before your password completely expires. You will not be able to access any of your CSU accounts if you do not reset your password before it expires.
