Statewide Personnel System

The State of Maryland’s Statewide Personnel System (SPS) Workday is a cloud-based platform used to manage health benefits enrollment and elections for Coppin's faculty and staff who participate in the State’s Employee Benefits Program.

Employees must use the SPS to initiate changes to their benefit elections for qualifying Life Events (such as adding a dependent to coverage due to marriage, birth or adoption of a child, etc.).

When you log on to the SPS to initiate qualifying life events, your personal W# is your user login. You can locate your W# in PeopleSoft by going to Employee Self Service > Personal Information Summary and you will find it under Employee Information, or you can go to Employee Time Entry and it’s located at the top of your time card as the SPS W#.  You can also locate your W# number in the POSC system from the Comptroller of Maryland’s website.
