Personal Shipping and Receiving
Make Sure Your Mail Gets There
Regardless of what type of mail you're sending and receiving, check how you're addressing each envelope, parcel, and package.
Residential Student Mail
Taking the time to write the correct address helps us deliver your mail accurately and on time. Students who live in Daley or Dedmond Hall have assigned mailboxes in your specific building. Only students who live on campus can get mail and have a mailbox. When you give family, friends, business, or other organizations your address, write it this way:
Student Name
Residence Hall Name
Coppin State University
2500 West North Avenue
Baltimore, MD 21216
Inter-Office Mail
Please print clearly—we can't deliver it, if we can't read it. Use standard abbreviations, no personal business names and no nicknames. You do not need to include the building name or room numbers. Write it this way:
Faculty/Staff Name
Department

These campus facilities are unique locations:
- Physical Education Complex (PEC) Coppin State University

- Ship valuables by registered or certified mail, or through a carrier that offers routine tracking and insurance (i.e. UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.)
- Considering buying insurance to cover loss or damage of valuable items
- When mailing medication, send by registered or certified mail, UPS, or FedEx
- Ship time-sensitive materials with a carrier that guarantees overnight shipping and provides tracking
- Bring your Eagle Card or state ID when you come to claim packages
